Description:

Backgammon is among the oldest known board games, with origins traced back roughly 5,000 years according to archeological finds in the Middle East. The augmented reality variant examined here places a virtual backgammon board into the user’s environment through AR.

When in use, the app detects a flat surface and anchors the board to it, allowing play on a table, on the couch, or in outdoor settings where space and lighting permit. Players can challenge the computer or compete with a friend in real time.

The title offers three difficulty levels—easy, medium, and hard—to accommodate beginners and more skilled players as they improve. The progression is gradual enough to maintain engagement without becoming frustrating.
